My favourite room!

I live in a pretty small flat. There is a bathroom/toilet/laundry, bedroom, kitchen and my favourite room…..
The living room!

My living room has wooden floorboards and a couch that sticks out from the wall, into the middle of the room. The couch is a grey-brown colour and is very comfortable to lie on. In the left corner of the room, in front of the couch is the T.V. It is not one of those massive digital televisions but it does the job! On the wall behind the T.V. is a lovely view of my nieghbours trees in their backyard. I don’t have a backyard unfortunately.
To the right of the couch, along the wall, is a big bookshelf and lounge chair. This is where I sit and read when I feel like a bit of peace and quiet. The living room does not have air-conditioning so it’s most comfortable during the colder months.

I like spending time in my living room because I enjoy the rest that I get to catch up on there.
Aaaargh.

My Favourite Room in the House – Mrs Smith

My favourite room in the house is always clean and smells great. It is a room that has stone benchtops, modern coloured cupboards and stainless steel appliances. Sometimes their is a low humming and swishing sound when the lights go out and at other times it can be filled with warm baking smells. My favourite room in the house has large, light filled windows that peer down onto the bush. The balcony connected to the sliding door that leads from my favourite room in the house has on occasion had a magpie singing for his breakfast. Which room do you think I love????

At my house, my favourite room is my family room. It’s joined onto my kitchen (which I love too) so it’s the place where everyone gathers and talks. We have a big wooden table (which I love too!) and room for lots of chairs to sit around it. This room looks out over our garden with lots of ferns – our dog likes to stand at the glass door and watch us – she always looks very cute. I have 2 paintings on the walls by 2 of my favourite Australian artists – one is of a river and gum trees by Arthur Boyd and the other is an abstract painting of the Australian outback by Fred Williams. The paintings are at each end of my table so I can always have a good look at them. I also have lots of family photos in this room - of my parents and my children as they grew up. I like this room because we always have happy times with our friends there.
